I founded the Fauvist with a friend in 2013. The Fauvist is a website allowing customers to get personalized flowers delivered weekly, or as a one-time purchase. It was selected by a business acceleration incubator program in L.A. in 2014.

Situation

Sometimes quality-chasing customers simply give upon buying flowers as a gift or for themselves, because buying generic and low-quality flowers from websites like 1-800flowers is neither personal nor unique.

Insight

If we let the customer order flowers online and at the same time offer a creatively customized design, it will fill a void in the market that hasn’t been fulfilled yet. 

How We Do It

The customer takes the Personal Style Quiz for their first order, creating a Personal Style File. We use our expertise to select and arrange in-season flowers for them. Then, we deliver weekly or bi-weekly through a paper box.
